Jeanne was abroad in Germany three times - student teaching in Magdeburg, teaching in Dessau, and graduate studies in Jena. The experiences influenced her path after graduation, and after teaching German for a few years, she switched careers into study abroad. She has advised and supported students pursuing study abroad opportunities for nearly 20 years, coming to UTEP in May 2026 as our Associate Director. 

In addition to her time in Germany, Jeanne has travelled to 18 countries: Chile, Mexico, Cuba, Belize, South Korea, Thailand, Laos, England, Italy, Spain, Austria, Hungary, the Slovak and Czech Republics, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Canada, as well as 28 U.S. states.

  1. Complete our advising questionnaire, "Finding the right program for you!" - Request Advising
  2. Schedule an appointment (link below) -- and let me know in the message if you would like the appointment to be virtual. If so, I will send you a Microsoft Teams link which you can access using your UTEP credentials. If not virtual, appointments will take place in-person in our Study Abroad Center in Union East, Room 203.
