Faculty-Led Programs

The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) offers students the opportunity to advance their education and professional skills through the introduction of UTEP Faculty-Led Programs (FLPs) that are linked to their fields of study. FLPs take place during spring, summer and winter breaks.

  • Program focuses on an academic discipline with students earning UTEP course credit and grades.

  • Programs include lectures, guest speakers, excursions, field trips, and learning about the host country.

  • Course length varies depending on the program.

  • Sponsoring departments will determine eligibility and admission to the program.

  • UTEP Faculty-Led Programs are open to UTEP students as well as non-UTEP students.

The cost of programs vary.  Students are assessed normal tuition and fees as well as additional program fees to cover program costs (room, board, local transportation, etc.).  Financial aid applies, depending on the applicant's eligibility.  Depending on the availability of additional funds, UTEP students will be eligible for modest international education scholarship.

So, what are you waiting for? Start learning about FLP programs now, and contact the program leader(s) to discuss academic requirements, program conditions, deadline(s), etc.
